Pause. Just so you are aware, this will not be a success guide or a step by step list of how to be successful on Etsy. Truth is, I’m still figuring it out daily even though I stopped going down the rabbit hole of inflated blogs and reels that guarantee they’ll show me a proven method of making $19,000 a day.

Starting a shop on Etsy is a daunting task filled with figuring out your niche, how to create listings, how to price those listings, what categories to list in, what tags to use and so on and so on. So when I started my shop in March of 2023, I felt instant gratitude and freedom. Definitely not financial freedom however the feat of getting starting is 1/4 the battle.

What they don’t tell you is that the real work begins after you set up the shop and load your listings. Ah-ha Marketing 101, Product (digital printable), Price ($3-$8), Place (Etsy.com), and……PROMOTION. That last “P” had me stuck more times than I care to list.

While Etsy doesn’t force you to use their marketing ads, it can be quite attractive because you can select exactly how much you want to spend daily per listing (minimum of $1) and you can change that amount daily if you’d like and you’re only charged once that ad…
